Work on a £1.3m transformation of the former trampoline park at Barking Sporthouse has been completed

A new £1.3million “multi-zone activity area” for children has been unveiled at Barking Sporthouse.
Transforming the area previously occupied by the leisure venue’s trampoline park, operator Better has spent three months creating a “vibrant, modern space with a range of interactive challenge areas” including a sports pitch, giant inflatables, strike challenge zone, trampoline beds, jump tower and airbag.
All the areas have been designed to combine physical activity with engaging play experiences, providing “variety, excitement and inclusive fun for a wide range of ages and abilities”.
In addition, the café will be open to customers whenever the multi-zone activity area is open.
Fatima El-Faddali, general manager for Barking Sporthouse and Gym, said: “After months of hard work behind the scenes, we’re excited to unveil our new Multi-Zone Activity Area which offers something completely fresh for our community.
“We’re confident it will be a fantastic space for young people to have fun, stay active and try new challenges in a safe and supportive setting.”
All sessions will need to be pre-booked via the Better UK app or through the Barking Sporthouse and Gym website:
