The 70-year-old victim was declared dead at a property in Boulton Road
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead in Dagenham.
Police were called to an address in Boulton Road on Sunday, 14th June to concerns for the welfare of a woman.
Inside the property, a 70-year-old woman was sadly declared dead.
A 75-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder at the scene. He was taken to hospital, where he remains.
Detective Inspector Mark Waker, who is leading the investigation, said: “We know how concerning this news will be for the local community, and our officers will remain in the area today to provide reassurance.
“Our thoughts remain with the loved ones of the woman who died. Detectives continue to work to establish exactly what has taken place, but at this time believe this was an isolated incident.”
